TAMISEMI: 1500 Teacher’s Volunteer jobs for Secondary Schools 2026
The Prime Minister’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO–RALG), through the Teacher Cadre Improvement Project known as the Global Partnership for Education – Teacher Support Programme (GPE–TSP), continues to implement various interventions aimed at improving the quality of education in the country. Among these interventions is the coordination of the deployment of Volunteer Teachers in order to address the shortage of teachers in secondary schools with the greatest need.
Through this project, PMO–RALG announces volunteer opportunities for 1,500 secondary school teachers under Local Government Authorities. The allocation of these teachers will be conducted in accordance with the official secondary school teacher deployment procedure known as the Secondary Teacher Allocation Protocol (S–TAP), which seeks to ensure that teachers are fairly and equitably assigned to areas with the highest need.
Accordingly, PMO–RALG, through the GPE–TSP project, invites qualified Tanzanians to submit applications for one thousand five hundred (1,500) Volunteer Teaching positions as specified in this announcement. These positions primarily target teachers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Vocational Subjects, and Business Studies, which have been identified as experiencing significant shortages of teachers in many secondary schools.
The implementation of this programme is expected to help improve teaching and learning, expand access to quality education for students, and strengthen overall human resource development in the country.
